Qing (Cindy) Chang is a Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia. She received her PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Her research has focused on dynamic manufacturing system modeling, data-enabled analysis, real-time production control, intelligent decision making and human-robot collaboration (HRC) for smart manufacturing. Dr. Chang is a fellow of ASME and SME, and a senior member of IEEE. She has been recognized as one of 20 most influential professors in smart manufacturing by SME in 2020
